Read2BFree Community Members,
I have some good news and some better news to share with you.
The good news is my new book – Moving Beyond Quadrant A: Developing Rigor, Relevance, and Learner Engagement in Your Classroom. It is filled with tactics, techniques, and tools, including many I shared on this website. It will be released June 26 at the Model Schools Conference in Florida. I hope you will get a copy and let me know what you think. Your feedback is very important to me as I move forward.
Which leads me to my better news.
My redesigned website, Read2BFree.com, is up and running. I am so excited about sharing my own stories, poems, plays, games, puzzles, and illustrations. I even have this new blog to record what I know and continue to learn about reading fluency and literacy development for all children. I invite you to download my first of many texts to share. All For Seasons is a fun poem about the four seasons. It includes coloring pages for your children. My Ant Can’t Live in Antarctica is an information text. I introduce how to use Color-Cued Text to build fluency. Again, let me know what you think.
Over the years, you have motivated me as a speaker, teacher, and advocate for literacy for all children. I look forward to your continued support as I journey down a slightly new path as a writer and illustrator for children who are reading to be free!
