Mystery Word One is over and done. Mystery Word Two is ready for you.
Each mystery word has multiple meanings. Figuring out words with multiple meanings is a fun way to increase a child’s vocabulary bank.
Most young readers are familiar with at least one meaning of the word. The challenge is finding a word that will fit into all five sentences. Talk to children about how the parts of speech might be different also. Sometimes the word is used as a noun. Others times it could be an adjective or a verb.
Remember, you can show the video of all five sentences. Or you can give children one sentence a day. Here’s a PDF of the sentences to help you do that.
Below are the sentences from last week with the mystery word included. How soon did you figure out the mystery word?
See you next week with another Mystery Word of the Week.
